FAQ
WHAT IS A CLASS PROPOSAL?
To teach a new TTT class, you must fill out and email the class proposal to ttt@biocurious.org. The proposal must include the class topic, procedure, how it relates to biotechnology, and your goals for the class.
IS THERE AN EXAMPLE?
Yes! Here is an example for a PCR and Gel Electrophoresis class.
CAN TEACHING COUNT FOR VOLUNTEER HOURS?
Yes. If you teach and plan a TTT class, and then submit your hours to your school, TTT will confirm and/or verify for your school. Hours submitted can include prep time and time spent physically teaching.
ARE THERE ANY QUALIFICATIONS TO TEACH?
The only requirement is that you must have attended at least one TTT class prior to applying to teach and have a basic understanding of biology.
Please note: the requirement to have attended a TTT class has been frozen as we begin virtual classes.
